The Słoneczna Kraina Primary School is located in Racibórz city. Our facility was established in 2022 for the education of students in need of Special Education. We have 28 staff members (teachers and administrative support) and 54 students who need special education. Children are happy to learn new things, the Słoneczna Kraina Primary School is not only a place to acquire educational knowledge. It is a place to develop independence, prepare for work in adult life, establish interpersonal contacts, develop interests. We make every effort to make the student feel confident and safe, and to be independent in the future. Our schools are implementing the ministerial project of the laboratory of the future. Thanks to the project, we received modern equipment that makes school activities more attractive and allows students to develop their interests during technology lessons and other compulsory educational activities
Our school already works towards the topic of the project. We do a lot of outdoor activities: outdoor picnics with physical games using the conditions provided by nature.. We join ecological campaigns organized by the city which are on the fresh air: Eco-friendly Christmas tree decoration at the market, planting trees in the city. We work in school anti-smog team ‘Sloneczna Kraina’ in cooperation with our City Council. We also cooperate with a special school from the Czech Republic which is located in Ostrava. From time to time we visit them with students and then they play green games with Czech children.
However, these outdoor activities are inadequate for our students with Special Education Needs. This Erasmus+ project will give us the opportunity to organize more systematic, well-organized and planned environmental education inside our school and outdoors. On the other hand, our outdoor education activities will have a rich educational content with new methods and approaches
