Outdoor games have the potential to contribute positively to the process of supporting environmental literacy and social emotional well-being of our students through game-based learning. This is because, in game-based learning, learning terms related to environmental and climate literacy through drama and role-playing games can have a very lasting effect. In terms of supporting social emotional well-being, outdoor games contribute positively to the development of our students' skills of working in cooperation, developing team spirit, recognising emotions(Such as empathy, altruism, dedication, etc) Participating special education teachers with this activity:
- They experienced experiential environmental education through outdoor games. Thus, their pedagogical knowledge and practical skills improved
- They explored how to support their students' social emotional well-being through Outdoor Games
- They worked on Environmental Literacy, exchanged ideas with teacher colleagues from other countries and strengthened their perspectives. They learnt how to develop their own students' environmental literacy knowledge, skills and attitudes through Outdoor Games
